Take a Look at Acne Studios' New Chengdu Store
Take a look at the Swedish label’s latest location.
Swedish label Acne Studios has just opened the door to its fourth store in China. This time around the brand is opening up a retail destination in Chengdu, designed specifically for its location inside the prestigious Taikoo Li complex. The new store features design elements inspired by Acne Studios’ Stockholm headquarters, as well as incorporates the space’s unique depth with long fixtures and a gridded lighting installation.
“The new store is a modern mix of Acne Studios’ home in Stockholm and Chengdu. We strive to make every store into a unique destination by blending something Swedish from our brand with something from the actual location. With Chengdu, I am very happy with the result – a little brutalist like our headquarters, but also lively yet easygoing like the Sichuan capital,” said Jonny Johansson, the label’s creative director about the new space. Not only does the new store feature unique architecture, it also displays large displays by British designer and collaborator Max Lamb.
In addition to the new space, the store will also feature a city-exclusive take on the brand’s Baker bag, which has been designed in a transparent material with blue straps and is only available at the Chengdu location. Take a look at the new Acne Studios location in Chengdu in the gallery above.
