UPDATE: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Reveal Baby's Name and Share First Photos

Queen Elizabeth also stops to meet her eighth great-grandchild.

UPDATE (May 8, 2019): Days after giving birth Meghan Markle has reappeared in the public eye to introduce her first child to the world. She and husband Prince Harry posed for photos outside of their home with the baby sharing a few words on the experience. The couple followed the press meeting with introducing their child to Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the Royal Family. In a touching photo from the meeting, they also revealed the baby’s name: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Enjoy the first photos of the baby below.

The British Royal Family and Prince Harry have confirmed the safe delivery of Meghan Markle‘s first child, a boy. The Duchess of Sussex went into labor earlier this morning with her husband and mother by her side. Prince Harry shared that the baby, who weighed in at 7lbs 3oz, was a bit overdue but was delivered safely in London. He went on to hold an informal press conference by himself promising to formally present the child in a few days:

“I haven’t been at many births. This is definitely my first birth. It was amazing, absolutely incredible, and, as I said, I’m so incredibly proud of my wife. As every father and parent will ever say, you know, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to-die-for, so I’m just over the moon. It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined. How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension”

The unnamed child is Queen Elizabeth’s eighth great-grandchild and seventh in line to the throne. The family has yet to share the baby’s name so stay tuned for more information.
