Nike's 'SpongeBob SquarePants' Collection Feature SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Sandy and Mr. Krabs

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?

Attention all ’90s kids, another throwback TV show collaboration is coming your way. The characters of Bikini Bottom will soon be landing on the Nike Kyrie 5 basketball silhouette in the Swoosh brand’s latest collaboration with Nickelodeon‘s cartoon, SpongeBob SquarePants. To celebrate Kyrie Irving’s love for the animated kids series, the collection will include colorways featuring SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Sandy Cheeks, Squidward Tentacles and Mr. Krabs.

The “Sandy Cheeks” colorway is inspired by the spunky squirrel’s spacesuit. Coming in white and grey, the sneaker is decorated with accents of yellow and magenta as well as Sandy’s signature flower and acorns on the heel. Arriving in bright yellow, the “SpongeBob SquarePants” iteration features a squiggly Swoosh as if the shoe is being viewed underwater. Brown circular graphics and a texturized heel counter make the whole shoe look like a sponge.

The upper of Patrick’s sneaker is vibrant in the starfish’s recognizable pink tones. To match Patrick’s shorts, the sole is made of lime green and purple rubber. “Squidward Tentacles” has a pale turquoise upper and pastel purple sole, as well as a brown midsole heel that’s the same shade of the grumpy character’s shirt. The “Mr. Krabs” colorway arrives in a flaming hot red and deep blue with a green money-printed sock-liner. You can spot Mr. Krab’s arch-nemesis Plankton on the inside lateral as well. A cute detail of all the sneakers is that they feature the characters’ faces on the insole of the shoe.

Each pair in the collection will be available from $110 USD to $130 USD on Nike’s online store on August 10. In other news, have you seen the insane details on Nike’s Stranger Things Tailwind sneaker?
