'Riverdale' Co-Stars Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart Split up After Two Years of Dating
The end of Bughead.
Everyone loves nothing more than when on-screen lovers become a real-life couple, so when Bughead came into fruition IRL, Riverdale fans were thrilled. Sadly, after two years of dating, Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart have reportedly broken up.
The couple first met as co-stars on the CW show, Riverdale, playing characters Jughead Jones and Betty Cooper who are friends that eventually end up dating. Rumors of Cole and Lili’s relationship began in 2017, but the two of them remained tight-lipped and deflected any questions about their love lives. After being spotted kissing in Paris in April 2018, they made their debut as a couple at the 2018 Met Gala. Recently, Cole and Lili attended the 2019 Met Gala together and have spoken occasionally about their relationship, but for the most part, the two are notoriously private about their off-screen romance.
According to Us Weekly, Cole and Lili were rarely seen together during this past weekend’s Comic-Con, and Cole was overheard telling a friend about their split. Another source confirmed with E! News that the couple broke up earlier this summer and will not be living together during the filming of the upcoming Riverdale season.
The two seem to still be on good terms, as Lili has still been posting photos of them and their friends together on Instagram over the past few days, but neither have commented publicly on the breakup.
