Nike Just Dropped Women's Exclusive Joyride Optik Sneakers
Arriving in black and white.
Nike recently introduced its new Joyride technology featuring an innovative system of tiny microbeads created for cushioning the sneaker sole. Today marks the global release of the original Joyride sneaker, and with the launch, a women’s exclusive silhouette has appeared as well.
Dubbed the Nike Joyride NSW Optik, the laceless sneaker is sleek and sporty, making it not only easy to slip on and off, but also easy to match with all your cozy outfits. The upper is crafted with stretchy neoprene, giving the silhouette a mix of scuba vibes and an overall clean, technical look. Angled zipper closures with large fabric hang tag tabs, as well as the textured leather heel and collar details, add notes of playfulness while still staying modern. The translucent sole has added heel height compared to the original Joyride sneaker, and of course, is filled with plastic TPE microbeads for comfort. Swoosh branding is embossed into a plastic piece embedded just above the midsole as well as on the heel.
The “Pure Platinum/White/Wolf Grey” iteration features a white upper with grey details. Bright orange hang tags match with the orange Joyride beads in the heel. If the pop of color is too much for you, you can switch out the hang tags for a grey shade. The “Black/Racer Blue/Total Crimson” colorway is designed with an entirely black upper. A gradient hang tab fades from red to blue, and the microbeads mirror the colors in the same red and blue hues.
The Nike Joyride NSW Optik sneaker retails at $190 USD, and you can cop both pairs at Nike’s online store as well as Nike retailers such as atmos. If you’re wondering what other sneakers have dropped today, take a look at Opening Ceremony x Skechers’ colllaboration.
