PUMA's Alteration Blitz Is the Chunky Sneaker You'll Want to Get Your Hands On
Dad shoes.
With sneaker silhouettes such as Balenciaga’s Triple-S and Nike’s M2K Tekno being spotted everywhere lately, everyone seems to be obsessed with chunky shoes. PUMA recently released its own take on the dad sneaker with an all-new Alteration Blitz silhouette.
The PUMA Alteration Blitz is simultaneously clean, yet a little rough around the edges. Arriving in “Castlerock/High Rise,” the sneaker is a mashup of different materials. The upper is crafted with light grey, textured-suede and dark grey mesh. Mesh also covers the toe vamp and tongue, and a grey eyestay hides the sneaker’s lace eyelets.
The stacked midsole is made of dark blue fabric with a royal blue exposed stitching pattern, on top of a wavy blue and white rubber sole. To complete the shoe a PUMA logo patch is sewn onto the tongue. The simplicity of the shoe is inspired by Copenhagen’s outskirts, and the sole adds a futuristic twist.
PUMA’s Alteration Blitz “Castlerock/High Rise” is available exclusively on END’s online store for $145 USD. If you’re looking for more footwear options, check out our editorial featuring the best sneaker collaborations of 2019.
