Jennifer Lopez Closes Versace SS20 Show in Her Iconic Green Dress
Nearly 20 years since she wore it on the Grammy red carpet.
Jennifer Lopez and her famous Grammy green Versace dress just shut down Milan Fashion Week. Perhaps the most talked about moment of Fashion Month thus far, the Versace Spring/Summer 2020 show saw the 50-year-old singer and actress closing the catwalk in a reimagined iteration of the iconic emerald gown she wore to the Grammy Awards back in 2000. Resembling the original dress designed by Donatella Versace, the 2019 version is also characterized by a plunging, deep-V neckline, and is covered in the instantly recognizable tropical leaf pattern.
“So this just happened..,” writes J.Lo on Instagram. The superstar, who’s been traveling a lot lately for the Hustlers press tour, made a stop in the fashion capital to celebrate nearly two decades since she attended Grammys in the Versace number. Notably, the buzz surrounding the dress at the time helped inspire the launch of Google Image Search, as the search engine saw a large amount of queries from fans who’re looking up photos of the sultry red carpet look.
Of course, social media has quickly reacted to the memorable style moment. Watch the videos below to see Lopez strutting down the runway to a standing ovation.
