Kanye West Opens His Sunday Service to the Public
Ahead of his anticipated ‘Jesus Is King’ album release.
Following the purchase of a $14 million USD in Cody, Wyoming, Kanye West has opened his talked-about Sunday Service to the public. The rapper is now holding the weekly gathering at the local Powwow Garden outside the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, with the latest session hosting more than 700 people, as well as West’s 80-member choir group.
Kanye West performed alongside the choir, opening up with “Ultralight Beam” and later drifted into hymn versions of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and “Come As You Are.” The performance featured a total of 14 songs, and Sunday Service merch was also worn by members of the choir, but is not for sale.
This Sunday will mark the final gathering before the rapper is releasing his upcoming album, Jesus Is King, on September 27. Get a look at a handful of videos from the event below.
