Skechers Launches Its Brand New Energy Series Inspired by Hip-Hop Culture

This is energy.

For Skechers, Energy is one of their most classic series. In the early ’90s, they invited Britney Spears to be the first spokesperson of the line. In 2007, they launched the lighter D’Lites series which was based on the original silhouettes of Energy. Presently, Skechers brings the timeless retro Energy series back evoking a strong sense of the early ’90s time period and unleashing infinite energy.

Skechers’ Energy series has returned with three distinct vintage colorways. The upper showcases the original smooth and layered curves representing the era of the ’90s. The light Eva foam material provides shock absorption and comfort while the high midsole design helps to accentuate the leg length. The series is further enhanced with chromatic woven belts on the tongue and heel providing a vintage aesthetic along with chic color-blocking and abundant layers.

During this year’s B.I.S & Skechers World Wars Hip-Hop dance competition, Skechers specially set up the Lady’s Only stage for female dancers from all over the country to unleash their unparalleled feminine strength in line with the brand’s “The New Girl Power” concept. Key, one of the dancers from Shanghai, shared her experience about the battle segment with HYPEBAE which you can watch below.

The Skechers Energy series is now available for purchase along with the Energy SKX which you find in-stores and Skechers’ website.
