Build-A-Bear Is Releasing the Adorable Baby Yoda as a Plush Toy

It’s all we’ve ever wanted.

Toy company Build-A-Bear has announced that an official Baby Yoda plush toy will be releasing later this year following the character’s enormous popularity in Disney+‘s Star Wars TV spin-off The Mandalorian.

Since the show’s debut in November, several Baby Yoda – officially known as “The Child” – iterations have been created, both officially with companies such as Walmart and unofficially through platforms such as Etsy. None, so far, have been as soft, squishy and loveable as Build-A-Bear’s upcoming version. Memes on social media, however, have been pretty amusing.

The stuffed animal was announced by the company’s CEO Sharon Price John during a presentation at the ICR Conference in Florida yesterday. While holding the adorable and size-realistic Star Wars character she said: “I’m excited to share we will be one of the first companies to provide the digital and internet phenomenon who is trending higher than all the presidential candidates combined.”

Although no official release date has yet been released, we know that the Build-A-Bear Baby Yoda toy will be joining a large, already existing cohort of Star Wars bears “in the next few months”. Keep an eye out for more info.
