Nike's Air Max 90 Gets a Makeover For Its 30th Anniversary
Featuring subtle changes and new colorways.
Nike‘s Air Max 90 has officially turned 30 and in honor of its anniversary, the sneaker giant has updated the iconic model with subtly changed features and new colorways. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the shoe was originally released as the Nike Air Max III in 1990 and quickly became a cult favorite.
The sneaker’s makeover sees a sleeker, deconstructed toe and a lower shape that improves speed. The shoe’s signature mudguard is now placed lower on the lateral and mirrors new TPU eyelet pieces. Constructed of a dual-tone grey upper, the updated Air Max 90 arrives in neon yellow-green, purple and light teal colorways.
Nike’s 30th anniversary Air Max 90 is available now on the brand’s Hong Kong website for approximately $109 USD. The shoe will be released online in the U.S. on January 9 at 10 a.m. EST for $120 USD.
