Rick Owens and Sustainable Sneaker Label Veja Reveal New Collaboration
Revamping Veja’s Runner Mid and Runner 2.
Rick Owens and sustainable sneaker brand Veja are introducing their third collaboration, a set of two running sneakers combining Owens’ signature aesthetic with Veja’s eco-conscious fabrication.
The Runner Mid is a high-top sock style made with a recycled polyester upper and a bio-based cork outsole. Three colorways — “Black,” “Butter” and “Rust” — are detailed with white midsoles, tonal laces and Veja’s “V” branding at the lateral. The second shoe, the Runner 2, is a low-top silhouette featuring a knitted upper and cork outsole made with Amazonian rubber and rice waste. Three entirely tonal colorways include “Full Black,” “Full Rust” and “Full Acid Yellow,” an eye-catching neon option.
