Available for pre-order this month.

Back in 2019, Taipei‘s leading contactless smartcard system, EasyCard, released a collaborative metro pass with Pokémon in the form of a Poké Ball. Used as the city’s main form of payment on the Taipei Metro, along with other public transport services and select shops, the limited-edition smartcard instantly sold out the day it launched. Due to popular demand, EasyCard is set to bring back the special pass in celebration of its Easy Wallet payment service. Watch how the 3D Poké Ball operates in the video above.

The Taiwan-based company states that it expects to open pre-orders later this month via PChome 24h. The official release date of EasyCard’s Poké Ball contactless smartcard will be announced on its official Facebook page soon.
