Spotify Is Matching Coronavirus Relief Donations up to a Total of $10 Million USD

With the launch of COVID-19 Music Relief.

As the global coronavirus pandemic shutters performance venues and cancels concerts, Spotify has announced the launch of COVID-19 Music Relief, a project to help struggling musicians. The streaming platform will match, dollar-for-dollar, donations to a list of recommended charities working to provide relief to the music community. Spotify will contribute up to a total of $10 million USD through donation matching.

So far, Spotify is working with music-focused non-profits Help Musicians, PRS Foundation and MusiCares. More charitable partners will be added soon. In addition to the launch of COVID-19 Music Relief, Spotify has donated funds to the CDC’s Foundation Emergency Response Fund and WHO’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. It is also working on a feature that will allow musicians to fundraise directly from their Spotify artist profile pages.

To contribute to Spotify’s COVID-19 Music Relief, head to the initiative’s official website.
