Copenhagen Fashion Week Announces New Dates for SS21 Season
The show will go on.
As the coronavirus pandemic continues to disrupt the fashion industry, Copenhagen Fashion Week has announced the decision to go on with its Spring/Summer 2021 shows starting in August. However, the event has been postponed by five days, now slated to begin on August 9 and end on August 12. The decision to continue with in-person shows was made in collaboration with industry organizations Dansk Fashion & Textile and WEAR.
“We’re fortunate that the Danish society is opening up much more quickly than expected, making it possible for us to hold Copenhagen Fashion Week very close to the originally scheduled dates,” the event’s CEO Cecilie Thorsmark said. “All of our activities will of course be set up to meet applicable regulatory requirements,” she added, noting that the larger Scandinavian fashion industry supports her decision to maintain fashion week in August.
