Converse Gives Its Chuck 70s and Chuck Taylor All Stars the "Pride" Treatment

Inspired by the “More Color, More Pride” flag.

In celebration of its fifth year supporting Pride Month, Converse is set to drop another “Pride” collection featuring its classic Chuck 70 and Chuck Taylor All Star silhouettes. In addition to the range, the label has also added a selection of garments and accessories.

The line’s offerings feature the rainbow colors of the “More Color, More Pride” flag, which also includes an additional brown and black stripe that represents the Latinx and Black LGBTQIA+ communities respectively. The brand’s product customization platform, Converse By YOU, will also offer styles inspired by the bisexual, pansexual, non-binary, and transgender flags that can be personalized by customers. According to a press release, Converse has donated more than $1 million USD to local and global LGBTQIA+ organizations, and has “pledged to support It Gets Better Project, Ali Forney Center, BAGLY and OUT MetroWest with charitable contributions from its ‘Pride’ collection.”

Take a look at Converse’s Pride campaign above, which was shot by Devyn Galindo. The collection will be available on May 29 via Converse’s website.
