Moncler Taps Richard Quinn for Its First Haute Couture Collection
Marrying eclectic prints and colors with the technicality and performance of Moncler.
Following previous collaborations with Simone Rocha, 1017 ALYX 9SM‘s Matthew Williams and more, Moncler is back with another huge partnership – this time launching the fashion house’s first Haute Couture collection together with British designer Richard Quinn, who previously collaborated with Moncler for its Genius collection.
Known for his bold and glamorous designs as well as his vibrant and eclectic prints, Quinn has put his own twist on the technicality and performance of Moncler, giving it a Couture translation. Playing with silhouettes, the collection tests the limits by inventing new shapes and textures, paying a nostalgic homage to the elegance of the ’60s. Materials include everything from nylon laqué to resin coated gaberdine, and the pieces include feathered balaclavas, head-to-toe bodysuits, tote bags and embroidered couture gowns. The maximalist collection perfectly marries Richard Quinn’s vision with the house of Moncler, and enters a new realm of fashion for the label.
