Instagram Just Released Video Chat With up to 50 People
Here’s how it works.
Following Instagram‘s previous updates, the social media platform has just announced that it will integrate with Facebook‘s Messenger Rooms feature, allowing calls with up to 50 people, meaning that you’ll now be able to launch video calls from Instagram.
So far, the feature only seems to have rolled out in the US, and there’s yet no info as to when it will become widely available. All you need to do to use the feature is have Facebook Messenger installed on your phone, and you’ll be able to set up a call. “An easy way to video chat with up to 50 of your favorite people? Yes please Starting today, you can create @messenger Rooms on Instagram and invite anyone to join. The new feature will support group calls of up to 50 people, significantly more than WhatsApp, and is based on integration with Facebook’s own Messenger Rooms,” stated Instagram in a Tweet.
Stay tuned as the feature is set to begin rolling out internationally.
