UNIQLO Releases AIRism Mask

Featuring three layers of protection.

Since the coronavirus pandemic broke out early this year, face masks and coverings have been in high demand. Many brands and retailers have been making their own protections, and the latest to join is Japanese fashion purveyor UNIQLO. Introducing a new line of AIRism Masks, the label is making the pieces part of its “LifeWear” line.

Utilizing a three-layer AIRism structure with an exterior UV protection, with a high-performance filter with 99 percent (BFE) Bacterial Filtrication Efficiency, blocking water droplets, bacteria particles, virus and pollen, underneath. The interior layer is a non-woven cotton fabric, that removes sweat and remains cool when wearing.

Arriving in packs of three, the UNIQLO AIRism masks can be washed in the washing machine, and remains effective up to 20 washes. The masks will also be available in three sizes, Small (children), Medium and Large, and will be limited to one pack per size, per person.

Retailing at ¥990 JPY (approximately $9 USD), the UNIQLO AIRism Mask will be releasing online at UNIQLO Japan on June 19.
