UNIQLO and Marimekko Celebrate Forest Foraging for FW24

Marking the duo’s third collaboration.

UNIQLO and Marimekko just dropped their latest collaboration, the third installment of their ongoing partnership. For Fall/Winter 2024, the duo looked to Nordic family traditions as their inspiration, capturing moments spent with loved ones foraging in the forest.

Blending Marimekko’s renowned art form of printmaking with UNIQLO’s universally loved silhouettes, the collection hopes to “brighten everyday moments” with a seasonal color palette inspired by autumnal landscapes. Looking at quintessentially fall moments like morning mist, darkening evenings and crisp fall days, the collection features four new prints from leading designers.

Rebekka Bay, Creative Director at Marimekko, said: “We are excited to launch the Fall/Winter 2024 limited-edition collection, inspired by the Nordic tradition of fall foraging and spending time together with your loved ones,” says Marimekko creative director Rebekka Bay. “This over-arching theme of joy and optimism is at the heart of Marimekko’s art of printmaking, and we are pleased to able the share this with a wide, global audience in collaboration with UNIQLO,” she continues.

Comprising winter-ready silhouettes for women and girls, the collection includes soft fleece cardigans, lambswool knits and functional layering pieces, alongside staple HEATTECH items and accessories.

Yukihiro Katsuta, head of R&D at Uniqlo adds, “Marimekko prints are often inspired by nature, and for this collection, we chose a selection of prints that would be perfect for crisp autumnal moments from sunrise to sunset. The latest UNIQLO x Marimekko collection includes items for both women and girls. We’re delighted that we have been able to collaborate three seasons this year and hope that everyone enjoys the lineup over the beautiful seasons to come.”
