Nintendo Will Reportedly Launch a Premium Switch in 2021
Along with a lineup of new video games and high-definition graphics.
Back in March 2019, The Wall Street Journal announced that Nintendo would launch two new Switch models: the Switch Lite and a premium iteration of the model. Unfortunately, the launch date of the upgraded version was pushed back due to several operating system changes.
However, according to Bloomberg, the new Switch is set to release next year along with a fresh selection of video games. Reports state that the premium device will be an “upgraded model of its Switch console” and that “the Kyoto-based company has looked into including more computing power and 4K high-definition graphics.” Though the tech company isn’t known for its high-end specs like Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo plans to keep up with its competitors with its upcoming console.
Stay tuned while we wait for more details on the premium Switch’s design, its price and when it is set to drop.
