British Singer-Songwriter Celeste Finds Hope on New Single "Little Runaway"

Named an emerging artist to watch in 2020, British singer-songwriter Celeste has now released her latest single “Little Runaway.” The track follows the musician’s “I Can See The Change” produced by Finneas.
Singing atop a sequence of piano tunes, Celeste touches on seeking hope during a time when nothing seems to make sense. “‘Little Runaway’ is a song about losing your faith, even if just momentarily, and seeking answers from spirits and ghosts,” the artist commented on her latest release. “My favorite line in the song is ‘good news I could use some,’ I believe everyone has a guardian angel, a protector, and this is me talking to mine. The verses actually started as this saxophone sample we were playing around with, and eventually, it transformed into the melody,” she further explained.
Initially premiered as the Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1, the tune repeats a passionate chorus: “Hallelujah, take me to ya, ’cause I’m lost, alone again.” As teased via Instagram prior to the drop, the accompanying music video pictures Celeste singing the lyrics through a fisheye lens in front of a pitch dark background.
