Watch the First Trailer for Millie Bobby Brown's Netflix Film, 'Enola Holmes'

The ‘Stranger Things’ star plays Sherlock’s teen sister.

The official trailer for Netflix film Enola Holmes starring Millie Bobby Brown is here. Set in Victorian England, the forthcoming mystery-adventure is adapted from the beloved novel series by Nancy Springer, and follows the younger sister of the famous detective, Sherlock Holmes.

In the action-packed first trailer, viewers are given an introduction to the movie’s protagonist (played by the Stranger Things star) and are presented with an unsolved mystery — on the morning of Enola’s 16th birthday, her mother (Helena Bonham Carter) disappears without a trace. In the absence of her parent, Enola is put under the guardianship of her siblings Sherlock (Henry Cavill) and Mycroft (Sam Claflin), both of whom plan on sending their teen sister to a finishing school. However, as the trailer reveals, Enola manages to escape and goes on a journey to search for her missing mother.

Enola Holmes is directed by Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag, Killing Eve), while the screenplay is written by Jack Thorne (Wonder). In addition to portraying Enola on screen, it is noteworthy that Brown is also credited as a producer of the film.

Watch the trailer above before Enola Holmes premieres on Netflix on September 23. While you are here, check out the complete list of TV shows and movies arriving on the streaming platform next month.
