Preview Halsey's Bold New Makeup Line, about-face
The singer introduces the brand wtih lipstick, eyeshadow and highlighter.
Halsey ventures into beauty with her latest project, a makeup line centered around self-expression and experimentation. Dubbed about-face, the pop star’s newly unveiled brand brings her love of vibrantly colorful makeup to the masses with an introductory collection of lipsticks, eyeshadows and highlighters.
A range of three Light Lock highlighters arrive in liquid, powder and cream form in multiple shades suited to a variety of skin tones. A lip pencil and long-wearing liquid lipstick make the perfect pair in rosy shades ranging from peach-toned “Ask Nicely” to deep plum “Cautionary Tale.” A cream Shadowstick offers high-intensity color in eight hues including lime green “Acidic,” sky blue “Creature” and mustard “Chaos Theory.” Also for the eyes, Matte Fluid Eye Paint makes a statement in unconventional colors such as navy blue “Lost Unfound” and forest green “Smoke Signal.”
“Makeup is an art and art is about happy accidents, not any one ideal of perfection,” Halsey said of her new endeavor. “I always feel the most free when I am creating looks without following any rules. The beauty industry has norms, but I want to encourage people to challenge those standards and allow things to be imperfect and fun,” she added.
Halsey’s about-face ranges from $17 to $32 USD and is available for pre-order at the about-face website. Orders begin shipping on January 25.
