fragment design x sacai x Nike Team Up for Three-Way LDWaffle Collaboration

Chitose Abe and Hiroshi Fujiwara come together to rework the beloved silhouette.

Following her many VaporWaffle kicks with Nike, sacai‘s Chitose Abe has now teamed up with Hiroshi Fujiwara‘s label fragment design for a new iteration of the LDWaffle. The three-way collaboration is an expansion of the two Japanese designers’ longtime partnership.

First revealed by Fujiwara last year, the sneakers arrive with a navy “Blue Void” and “Obsidian” base on the upper. Constructed with mesh and suede panels, the silhouette is accentuated with double-stacked Swooshes in white, alongside fragment design’s signature logo debossed on the laterals. The theme continues on the layered tongue tags, which feature Fujiwara’s lightning branding and Nike Sportswear labeling. The design is contrasted with a white midsole and “Obsidian” outsole. Peep the upcoming sneakers in the gallery above.

The specific release date is yet to be confirmed. However, reports state that the fragment design x sacai x Nike LDWaffle is expected to arrive in Nike’s stores later this spring, reportedly priced at $155 USD.
