Here's an Early Look at the sacai x Nike VaporWaffle in "Black/Gum"
Chitose Abe continues her partnership with the Swoosh brand.
Amid rumors of a three-way collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier, images of another sacai x Nike VaporWaffle colorway have surfaced. Once again, Chitose Abe is continuing her partnership with the Swoosh brand with a new iteration dubbed “Black/Gum.”
As suggested by its name, the sneaker is completely dressed in black. The upper sees various materials including padded nylon in replacement of the regular mesh. The base is contrasted with leather on the Swooshes and rear, while the lacing system and toe box come in suede. Unlike its predecessors, the design is missing the double-stacked details on the Nike logo, although the theme is continued on the tongue tag and midsoles. To round out the design, both Nike and sacai’s branding are printed on the heel tab.
Take an early look at the VaporWaffle in “Black/Gum” above. Nike has yet to announce an official release date, but we’re expecting these kicks to land in the coming months.
