Netflix‘s holiday romantic comedy The Princess Switch is a hopeless romantic and Christmas fanatic’s guilty pleasure. It’s safe to say that despite the predictable plots and Vanessa Hudgens‘ botched British accent, the actor deserves credit for portraying not just two, but three different roles for the second time.

Released on November 18, Romancing The Star — the third and final film of The Princess Switch franchise – sees Queen Margaret and Princess Stacy preparing for their international Christmas festival in Montenaro. The royal event features a special visitor from the Vatican, the Star of Peace, which goes missing days before the festival. In order to track down the relic before the Vatican finds out, Margaret and Stacy have no choice but to seek the help of Margaret’s cousin Lady Fiona, who teams up with her childhood friend and love interest Peter Maxwell (Remy Hii) to retrieve the star.

Hunter Cunard (Will Kemp), a billionaire and old fling of Fiona’s who stole the Star of Peace, is keeping the relic at his estate, where he happens to also host his annual Christmas party. In order to pull off the group’s royal heist, Queen Margaret agrees to go undercover as Fiona to distract Hunter during the party while the real Fiona gets back the star with Peter. Meanwhile, Stacy also turns into Fiona to attend her probation hearing due to the real Fiona being busy with the mission.

It’s no secret that Hudgens is an experienced performer, whether that be singing or dancing. Before going to Hunter’s Christmas party, Fiona teaches Margaret how to tango, a classic ballroom dance technique Hunter can’t resist. During their class, Peter steps in to show Fiona how to lead, reigniting old sparks.

During their training sessions before the break-in, Peter explains that Hunter’s room filled with his stolen priceless relics is secured with sensory lasers.
