The latest internet fad consists of searching your name on urbandictionary.com and posting the results on Twitter or Instagram. For those not familiar with Urban Dictionary, it’s a site that features definitions for both street and internet slang, or in many cases just a fun twist on words and names. Anyone can come up with the definitions, which is why they’re not taken seriously.
For instance, if you search up the name “Tim” on Urban Dictionary, it will give you the following definition: “He is an amazing guy. He is funny, nice and always there for you. You can count on Tim, you can tell him anything. Trust me. He is pretty damn cute and amazingly sweet. He will always be there for you,” followed by a sentence used as an example: “Aww that guy is being so sweet, what a Tim.” There are various definitions for the name Tim, however, Urban Dictionary users can vote for their favorites and the highest ranked usually appears first when you search the name.
