4 Winter Hair Color Trends That Will Elevate Your Look
Natural tones and balayage moments are taking over.
Hair colors will see a drastic shift this winter. Following summer’s bright and bold tones, natural hues and balayage brown or “bronde” moments will be taking over the reins.
“[These colors will add] a little warmth to the face amid the cooler temperatures,” celebrity hairstylist and útiles beauty founder Josh Liu tells us. “Stylistically, we will see a lot of blowout textures and looser half-up moments with face-framing pieces, accessorized with bows or headbands. It’s a classic, timeless look.”
For those who don’t plan on taking regular trips to the salon, Liu suggests using color-safe and sulfate-free hair products. “You need to make sure everything is color-safe because a lot of the ingredients will make your hair brass out, fade and strip the color from your hair,” Liu explains.
