'And Just Like That...' Cast Responds to Chris Noth's Sexual Assault Allegations

Multiple women have accused the ‘Sex and the City’ star of misconduct.

UPDATE (December 21, 2021): And Just Like That… cast members Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have taken to social media to respond to Chris Noth‘s sexual assault allegations.

Trigger Warning: This post includes graphic descriptions of alleged sexual assaults.

“We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth,” the Sex and the City actors shared on their respective Instagram Stories and Twitter accounts. “We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it much be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”

Noth, who is known for his role of Mr. Big on the franchise, was recently accused of sexual assault after multiple women came forward and shared their disturbing experiences. Since then, he’s been dropped from various projects. Peloton pulled its recent ad campaign starring the actor, which went viral after the premiere of SATC‘s reboot. Additionally, CBS and his agency have parted ways with Noth.

See the message the And Just Like That… actors shared about Noth below.

ORIGINAL STORY (December 16, 2021): Chris Noth, widely known for his role as Mr. Big in Sex and the City and its recent reboot And Just Like That… , has been accused of sexual assault. Shortly after the news broke, Peloton has pulled its viral ad campaign starring the actor.

Trigger Warning: This post includes graphic descriptions of alleged sexual assaults.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, two women have shared their disturbing experiences with Noth. Named Zoe and Lily, they approached the news outlet after being disturbed by promotions of the reboot. “I’m not sure how you go about this sort of story and how you find the other victims,” Lily, who is a journalist in the entertainment industry, wrote in an email. “For so many years, I buried it,” she said, adding that it was time “to try to go public with who he is.”

In another email, Zoe recalls when she was 22 years old and worked an entry-level job at an LA firm. “He would walk by my desk and flirt with me. He somehow got my number from the directory and was leaving messages on my work phone. My boss was like, ‘Mr. Big’s leaving messages on your voicemail.’” Later, Noth invited her to a pool in his apartment building, where he kissed her. Once she said, “Thank you, I’m going back to my friend,” he allegedly “pulled her toward him, moved her toward the bed, pulled off her shorts and bikini bottom, and began to rape her from behind.”

Responding to the allegations, Noth issued a statement:

“The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”

Responding to the news, Peloton shared: “Every single sexual assault accusation must be taken seriously. We were unaware of these allegations when we featured Chris Noth in our response to HBO’s reboot of the show. As we seek to learn more, we have stopped promoting this video and archived related social posts.”
