TikTok Kitchen Serves the Platform’s Viral Food Recipes
With 300 delivery-only locations to launch in March 2022.
TikTok is collaborating with Grubhub and Virtual Dining Concepts to bring its viral food videos to life, including corn ribs, pasta chips and baked feta pasta, which became one of the most-searched dishes of 2021.
Named “TikTok Kitchen,” the new service will be delivery-only, and there are plans to have 300 locations from the get-go. The menu will be updated quarterly each year as trends come and go, with respect to the creators of the original dishes. Although it is unclear whether permanent offerings will be available on the menu, influencers will be featured prominently throughout the campaign.
As of now, TikTok has clarified that it will not be venturing into the catering business, and has not provided any further details concerning how long the kitchen would run. Keeping in line with TikTok’s mission to “inspire creativity and bring joy to its users,” proceeds will go to creators and serve as an incentive for users to produce more engaging content.
