Get a Better Understanding of Your Skincare Products With This Mobile App

The platform will point out any ingredients in each formula that may be harmful to your skin.

Picky is an up-and-coming mobile app that provides education on anything related to skincare, from the ingredients in each product to open discussions among users. The platform is ideal for those looking to learn all about their skin type and the formulas sitting on their vanity.

Based in Seoul, Picky aims to build a smart skincare experience for all. “Committing to a skincare routine should be an exciting journey of discovery, but in the age of the Internet and never-ending skincare trends, this process of self-love may become tiring or even intimidating,” the brand’s website reads. “This is why we developed Picky – to cut through the noise and to help anyone at any stage of their personal skincare journey get started and further.”

The app is largely broken down into three sections. The “Search” tab features detailed information on over 30,000 skincare products, listing out any risky ingredients that may be harmful to the skin. Each product page also provides whether the formula is compatible with oily, dry and sensitive skin types. Meanwhile, the “Question” page hosts open discussions from the Picky community, where users can ask questions on their skin concerns, or comment on others’ posts to create an informative thread. Lastly, the “Routine” tab helps you keep track of your different skincare regimens according to the skin’s needs.

You can try Picky out for yourself via Apple’s App Store and Google Play for free.
