City Girls Invade Twerk City in "Twerkulator" Music Video
Directed by Missy Elliott.
UPDATE (July 8, 2021): City Girls debuted their first single of the year, titled “Twerkulator,” back in May. Now, Yung Miami and JT are back with their track’s music video directed by hip hop icon Missy Elliott.
The visual kicks off with Elliott delivering a city-wide warning: “This is an emergency. This is not a test. Everyone, please take shelter immediately. The Twerkulators have already invaded Twerk City and you don’t have much time.” The music video then transitions to scenes of Yung Miami and JT dressed in eye-catching catsuits, colorful two-piece sets and patterned bodysuits, showing off their twerk and dance skills choreographed by Sean Bankhead.

ORIGINAL STORY (May 21, 2021): Hip hop duo City Girls has returned to the music scene with a brand new track via Quality Control Music and Motown Records. A snippet of the project dubbed “Twerkulator” circulated on TikTok a few months ago, making the song another viral dance challenge with now over one million Creates and 750 million views.
Demonstrating their unmatched confidence, JT and Yung Miami spit bars over a punchy sample of Afrika Bambaataa and The Soulsonic Force’s “Planet Rock” from the ’80s. “It’s time for the twerkulator/I’ma shake what my mama gave me/I’ma shake my money-maker,” JT raps in the chorus, followed by Yung Miami’s verse: “Yung Miami, yeah, b*tch, I’m from the city (Miami)/I’m litty, diamonds drippy, eat my p*ssy, that’s a quickie (Ah)/I’m twerkin’, p*ssy poppin’ like a Cuban b*tch at tootsies.”
“Twerkulator” is now available via streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
