Gap Confirms YEEZY Line Release Date
The collection is dropping sooner than you think.
Following months of anticipation, Gap has hinted towards more details surrounding its upcoming YEEZY line. Although the retailer has been very quiet regarding the drop, Business of Fashion now reports that the line is “on track” to release by the end of June, and that the label is confident about the partnership.
The collaboration comes with a big financial importance for Gap, with Bloomberg previously revealing that the retailer hopes to make $150 million USD from the YEEZY line in its first year. Since the Kanye West collaboration was confirmed in June 2020, Gap has seen some difficulties, including 255 store closures and an 18% decline in overall sales in August – with more losses and closures at the end of the year.
