This Otter Livestream Is Taking Over Twitch's New Hot Tub Category
Cuteness overload.
Last week, Twitch announced its new category “Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches,” which is, literally, dedicated to hot tub streams. Aside from content creators dressed in swimsuits, a group of rescued otters has been taking over the section with real-time footage as they spend their days swimming and playing.
Run by Vancouver‘s Marine Mammal Rescue Center, the channel features four rescued otters splashing around, floating on their backs and more. Although the new “Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches” category is meant for streamers who have raised complaints after getting suspended from Twitch without warning, the otters fit right in this group as they’re in pools. At the time of writing, over 2,000 viewers are watching one otter spinning endlessly in the water, making “Chill with Rescued Sea Otters” the third most viewed in the category.
