Amina Muaddi Forays Into Legwear With Austrian Brand Wolford
Featuring bodysuits, dresses and more.
Amina Muaddi has teamed up with Austria-based brand Wolford on a collection of hosiery, leggings, bodysuits, jumpsuits, dresses and socks. This is the first time the shoe designer is tapping into another fashion category.
“I’ve always been a Wolford fan and client, to me the brand represents the epitome of quality legwear and bodywear and a symbol of refined femininity,” Muaddi shared in a press release. “When they reached out to me for a brand collaboration I agreed to do it right away as I already felt connected to their brand DNA, incredible craftsmanship and commitment to excellence. I like to create modern products that feel timeless and boost the confidence of the person who wears them and I believe that through this collaboration we were able to bring our collided vision to life,” she added.
Highlighting the beauty of the female body, the offerings boast a precise fit, making it feel like a second skin. Materials used include latex, lace, viscose jersey and eco-leather dressed in shades like nude, white, black, red or neon green. Standout designs feature fishnet tights and stockings embellished with small Swarovski crystals, which have been applied by hand. Additional styles come with a slit between the toes, allowing you to wear sheer tights with thong sandals.
Priced from $90 to $4,990 USD, Amina Muaddi x Wolford’s 17-piece collection is now available online, as well as at select Wolford stores and worldwide retailers. You can also visit the event pop-ups this month: Galeries Lafayette in Paris, now open; Selfridges in London and Antonio boutique in Milan, opening on July 10; Bergdorf Goodman in New York, opening on July 19.
