HyunA and DAWN To Drop Their First-Ever Duet in Upcoming Mini-Album
‘1+1=1’ will arrive with a YouTube documentary covering the K-pop musicians’ five-year-long relationship.
P NATION signees and one of K-pop‘s favorite couples, HyunA and DAWN are set to unveil their first-ever duet in an upcoming mini-album titled 1+1=1. This marks the first time the musicians are producing music as an official duo after confirming their relationship back in 2018.
Initially announced last month, the new record will feature four tracks. Led by the title song “Ping Pong,” the tracklist includes “Deep Dive,” “XOXO” and “I Know,” all of which were written by the two.
Leading up to the release, HyunA took to Instagram to share a few words about her music video filming experience with DAWN. “Thank you to everyone involved. I couldn’t say thank you enough,” she wrote. “Because I usually faint several times a day, an ambulance was already on standby for the first time… I fainted again as expected. I was upset because my body wouldn’t cooperate, and I also think it’s my fault for not taking better care of myself.” She ended the note by telling her boyfriend: “I’m really sorry. Thank you always, and I love you.”
In addition to the music video and mini-album, HyunA and DAWN will appear in a short documentary produced by Lululala Studio. Set to launch on YouTube, the film titled I’m Fine Thank You And You? will cover details about their relationship, work and more.
1+1=1 is slated to drop on September 9 at 6 p.m. KST (5 a.m. ET). The I’m Fine Thank You And You? documentary will premiere on YouTube at 8 p.m. KST (7 a.m. ET). Watch the teaser below.
