A Jacquemus x Nike Collaboration Might Be On the Way

Hinted all the way back in February 2020.

Earlier today, Jacquemus unveiled a series of summery campaign images shot in Hawaii for its Winter 2021 “LA MONTAGNE” collection. Titled “Family Love,” the visuals showcased not only the French label’s popular knit cardigans and dresses, but also a potential footwear collaboration with Nike.

Although nothing has been confirmed at the time of writing, the campaign shot by Tom Kneller captures a series of Swoosh-branded sneakers in black and white. Donning a boxing shoe-like silhouette, the white kicks feature black piping details along the upper, accompanied by a small Swoosh on the sides. Meanwhile, the black pair — which appear to be Nike’s Shox silhouette — is accentuated with metallic silver hits on the Swoosh and midsole. In addition to the aforementioned designs, the campaign features lace-up hiking boots, as well as other sneakers with Nike’s branding found on the tongue.

If confirmed, this would mark the first footwear partnership for Jacquemus. Even if the kicks captured in these images are not part of a collaboration, we can expect a joint project between the two labels, as designer Simon Porte Jacquemus was spotted in a star-studded group photo last year featuring AMBUSH‘s Yoon, Virgil Abloh, Matthew Williams, Rosalía, Fujiwara Hiroshi, Drake, Travis Scott and G-Dragon — who have all teamed up with sportswear giant.

Stay tuned as we learn more about the potential Jacquemus x Nike footwear collaboration.
