Christina Aguilera to Release a New Music Video for "Beautiful"
20 years after the singer dropped the original.
Christina Aguilera has taken to social media to reveal she is releasing a new music video for her classic hit “Beautiful.”
“In celebration of the 20 year anniversary of Stripped and World Mental Health Day, I’m honored to share a new music video for Beautiful, coming October 19th,” she captioned a preview. “Tune out and turn in. Take your space, log off, put your mind, body and soul first.”
In the 18-second clip she shared, there are a group of young girls in a room, applying makeup with the camera doing a closeup on one of them. Various voices are heard simultaneously giving advice on beauty and fitness.
The original music video for “Beautiful” was released in 2002 and featured Aguilera as well as several people from all walks of life, highlighting their insecurities and finding peace and acceptance through the song’s message, which instantly made the track a classic.
