Nike Honors HBCUs With Dunk and Apparel Collection

Releasing during each university’s homecoming weekend.

For the third installment of YardRunners, Nike celebrates Historically Black Colleges and their alumni community with a collection of four Dunk Lows honoring Tennessee State University, Clark Atlanta University, Florida A&M University and North Carolina A&T University.

The apparel collection will celebrate 19 HBCUs and releases October 6 via Nike, while the footwear will be made available to students prior to launch via Nike NBHD locations. The models will see wider releases during each university’s homecoming weekend. Take a closer look at the Dunks below and stay tuned for additional drop info.

Nike Dunk Low “TSU Tigers”

In honor of Tennessee State University’s legacy, Nike covers the Dunk in a black, red, blue and white color scheme with a tiger print lace option and the school’s founding year at the heel.

Nike Dunk Low “North Carolina A&T”

Decked out in gold and blue alongside subtle shades of gray, this Dunk Low dedicated to North Carolina A&T bears laces printed with “Ayantee,” a playful take on the school’s “A and T” moniker.

Nike Dunk Low “Florida A&M”

“Orange Horizon” and “Fortress Green” dominate this iteration. “COLAC,” which stands for “College of Love and Charity,” comes embroidered on the forefoot and “We Bragg Different” text lights up the heel.

Nike Dunk Low “Clark Atlanta University”

Clark Atlanta University inspires this Dunk, as referenced by its founding year embroidered on the heel and the school’s “Find a Way or Make One” tag line covering the laces.
