Jordan Brand Announces Tonia Jones as Head of Women's

Congratulations are in order.

Nike‘s women’s business is growing — and the numbers prove it. The sector has tripled since 2020, as revealed in a 2022 fiscal year earnings call in June.

Jordan Brand has announced a new name heading its women’s division, Tonia Jones, a Nike veteran with over 30 years at the company. JB president Craig Williams spoke on Jones’ appointment as global vice president and general manager of women’s to Footwear News.

This is an awesome responsibility for Tonia to continue leading our women’s business. This role is such a critical piece of achieving balanced growth across the brand. It requires someone who has a strong respect for our legacy, and passion to create our future. We’re excited about Tonia returning to the Jordan team.

Jones echoed his excitement in a statement.

I’m thrilled about the opportunity to continue defining equity for women within sneaker culture. Plus, it’s a special treat to be a part of the Jordan family again. I’m honored to work with this talented team at Jordan Brand and keep our strong momentum going.

Tonia Jones previous role was head of SNKRS and NBHD Marketplace, though she also served as GM of Asia Pacific Latin America. Jones follows Andrea Perez who has started a new journey at Sony Interactive Entertainment as its senior vice president of brand, product and services marketing.
