'Love Is Blind's Zanab Details Cole's Secret Abuse
“I did lose weight by the wedding day. It had nothing to do with fitting into my wedding dress.”
Zanab of Netflix‘s dating show Love Is Blind, was easily a fan favorite, but for some reason, her fiancé Cole feigned disinterest. In several press interviews discussing the show, she spilled all the tea we suspected, and then some.
This season, Cole and Zanab connected through the pod walls sharing all types of intimacy from laughs to discussions of religious faith. The pair seemed to be an unexpected perfect match, but after one night out of the pods, everything turned sour. At the altar, Zanab said to a confused Cole, “You have disrespected me, you have insulted me, you have critiqued me and for what it’s worth, you have single-handedly shattered my self-confidence… And the messed up thing is I know love you… but love shouldn’t feel this way. I can’t marry you.”

Cole seemed to be more focused on being rejected than the fact that the woman he “loved,” just revealed her self-confidence was shattered. “Why has she never said that to my face? She chose now because she knew it would hurt more in front of all my friends and family… She had me fooled big time. I knew we were not perfect but that? It’s one of the worst experiences of my life.”
Post-pods, Cole exhibited almost every red flag out of the book from judging her physical appearance and belittling her with questions like, “Are you bipolar?” Fans even witnessed a subliminal racial comment, that suggested his family did not approve of her since she wasn’t his “usual type” — a woman like Colleen or a “Lily.”
However, the shame didn’t stop there. “I’ve never had someone speak to me that way about my body or eating,” Zanab said. “That was very real for me. I did change what I was eating. I was just eating a banana. I did lose weight by the wedding day. It had nothing to do with fitting into my wedding dress.”
In the interview, Zanab shared exactlyhow those moments made her feel. “I did not stand up there and say no to the Cole that everyone got to see. There was a lot more,” she told People. “I stand by everything I said,” she told People confidently. ”We do not speak. We didn’t really leave a friendship or a mutual respect, I think, for each other to have. So there isn’t communication between the two of us.”
