Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are engaged — again.
The singer made the announcement via her fan newsletter On The JLo, sharing a video clip in which she shows off her new green diamond ring. “You’re perfect,” she says in the footage, which was teased on Facebook. The news comes shortly after engagement rumors that sparked earlier this week when JLo was seen wearing a new ring.
Bennifer first started dating back in 2002 and were engaged the same year, but later called the wedding off “due to the excessive media attention.” The couple shared in a statement: “When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate ‘decoy brides’ at three different locations, we realized that something was awry.” The pair officially called off the wedding and split in 2004, and reconnected in 2021 after more than 15 years. Since then, they have attended events together and also bought a home in Los Angeles.
