The early days of my relationship with a dirty martini were complex. I craved the effortless sophistication that a martini invoked. However, at this point, I’ve dealt with enough adult life to appreciate the art of the classic drink, and my love for dirty martinis has trickled over into my obsession with nail art. For fall 2022, a beauty editor surmises that “dirty martini” nails will be next for autumn beauty trends.

Many shades of green have been top of mind for polish enthusiasts all summer, and we’re all leading with that same energy into the cooler months. While ’90s supermodel nails and Hailey Bieber‘s glazed-donut nails will be around with us for quite some time, for those minimalists looking for a touch color, embracing “dirty martini” nails is the perfect way to do so. We’ve seen celebrities such as Selena Gomez with olive-green hues on her claws, reminiscent of the trendy manicure in motion.
