Ye Files Trademarks for Donda Sports Apparel and Accessories
In addition to athletic services offering training sessions, competitions and more.
Ye, who recently announced the termination of his partnership with Gap, is now looking to expand his Donda empire. The rapper recently filed new trademarks for Donda Sports, Dove Sports and Donda Doves, which will be dedicated to sportswear and related accessories.
As reported by TMZ, the documents suggest that Donda Sports includes items like bags, fanny packs, luggage, wallets, umbrellas, blankets, T-shirts, jackets, hats, shoes and more. Dove Sports will be used for athletic services offering training sessions, competitions, tournaments, camps, seminars, field trips, workshops and more, while Donda Doves is for sports equipment and accessories including baseball hats, basketballs, hockey pucks, posters, mugs, sporting goods and online retail stores.
Ye recently took headlines for ending his 10-year deal with Gap. The rapper told CNBC that the retailer did not let him have a say in pricing, colorways and stockists. He said in the interview, “It was very frustrating, it was very disheartening, because I just put everything I had. I put all of my top relationships… And sometimes I would talk to the guys, the heads, the leaders, and it would just be like I was on mute or something. Our agenda, it wasn’t aligned.”
