Season 3 of 'Euphoria' Gets Pushed to 2025
It was previously reported that filming would begin later this year.
UPDATE (May 26, 2023): Back in February, it was reported that production for Season 3 of Euphoria would begin in 2023, which meant the new season was slated to premiere in 2024. Now, it’s been pushed to 2025.
“Euphoria is one of those that we had begun writing in tandem with post-production on Idol but at this point, we don’t have countless scripts,” HBO Drama Chief Francesca Ors told Variety. “We can’t start shooting, so the delivery of that show — ideally in 2025 — will be determined on when we can pick back up with Sam [Levinson], who at this point is all pencils down and just finishing posts on Idol.”

UPDATE (February 24, 2023): Months after it was reported that production for Season 3 of Euphoria was going to start in February, it has been confirmed there has been a delay.
According to Vogue, “Season 3 [is] not scheduled to begin shooting until the latter half of 2023.”
The publication recently interviewed Maude Apatow, who portrays Lexi on the HBO series, and based on her input, filming isn’t occurring anytime soon. She said, “I honestly don’t know a single thing. We should be getting scripts and hearing about next season soon-ish, but I’m totally in the dark!”

ORIGINAL STORY (January 20, 2023): While it may still be a while until Euphoria returns, on the bright side, filming for Season 3 will begin next month.
According to Production Weekly and Collider, production for Season 3 of the HBO series will begin in February. The show, which stars Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, Jacob Elordi and Angus Cloud, got renewed for Season 3 about a year go, which was around the same time the Season 2 finale aired.
Of the show’s renewal, Francesca Orsi, Executive VP of HBO Programming, said in a statement: “Sam [Levinson], Zendaya, and the entire cast and crew of Euphoria have taken Season 2 to extraordinary heights, challenging narrative convention and form, while maintaining its heart. We couldn’t be more honored to work with this gifted, wildly talented team or more excited to continue our journey with them into Season 3.”
Season 3 of Euphoria will reportedly premiere on HBO sometime in 2024.
