
Will There Be Another Season Of 'Running Point' On Netflix?

Netflix‘s new hit show Running Point has garnered all of the hype since its February 27 release. Naturally, fans have begun inquiring about the possibility of Season 2.
Written by Mindy Kaling and led by actor Kate Hudson, the new show centered around the Los Angeles Waves has risen to the #1 Trending spot on Netflix. The story follows a dysfunctional family that owns a basketball team. The daughter, obviously overlooked because sexism, finally gets her shot to lead the team — and it seems like everyone’s setting her up to fail.
Following the juicy season finale, fans took to Twitter to ask the important questions. Before we knew it, “Will there be another season of Running Point” began to trend on Google Trends.
According to Netflix, the series has not yet been confirmed for Season 2. Simultaneously, the show’s lore is getting juicier which is causing many to question whether the Lakers would ever allow a Season 2.
Well, despite fan anticipation Mindy Kaling and Netflix have yet to confirm a second season. However, don’t be discouraged — the cast is working overtime to get a renewal. Hudson herself shared: “I had so much fun doing this. I just want to keep doing it,” in regard to acting as character Isla Gordon. Kaling also spoke to Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos directly, according to Forbes. ”We love making the show, if you want to just pick us up for five more seasons.”
