Shake Shack's Lunar New Year Menu Is Dripping in Honey
Sugar and spice and everything nice.
As we approach the Lunar New Year, we’re seeing numerous brands unveiling their Year of the Rabbit capsules and collections, but fashion isn’t the only thing that’s getting festive. Shake Shack just unveiled a new Hot Honey Menu in celebration of the New Year, and it’s set to be a Hong Kong exclusive.
Honey has its significance within Chinese culture, known for its nourishing properties and sweet symbolism, making it the perfect ingredient to spearhead the brand’s latest offering. Leading the charge is the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, fusing the yellowy goodness with a vibrant chilli sauce for the perfect combination of sweet and sour.
The new sandwich is comprised of hot honey-glazed crispy chicken, complete with cabbage and green apple slaw, held together by a toasted potato bun. Foodies also have the option of choosing fresh, hand-breaded, cooked chicken thigh or chicken breasts for their sandwich so they can make it their own. Elsewhere, the new menu features Hot Honey Chicken Bites, available in boxes of six or 10 and served with Hot Honey sauce on the side.
Shake Shack’s new limited-edition menu is available in all the brand’s Hong Kong locations from January 17 till February 26. Shake Shack Hong Kong is also set to offer special red Lunar New Year packets with any order of Hot Honey menu items while stocks last.
