The first official trailer for You People has dropped and it’s nothing short of entertaining. The film stars Jonah Hill as Erza Cohen, who falls in love with a Black woman named Amira Mohammed (Lauren London). Problems arise once Erza meets Amira’s parents, played by Eddie Muprhy and Nia Long.
According to the Netflix Media Center, the synopsis for the film reads as follows: “A new couple and their families find themselves examining modern love and family dynamics amidst clashing cultures, societal expectations and generational differences in this comedy from Kenya Barris.”
The forthcoming comedy, which was co-written by Hill, marks Barris’ directorial debut.
