Having graduated from Parsons with a BFA in fashion and studying painting, illustration, and sculpture since the age of four, Zimbalist possesses a truly unique array of knowledge and expertise, using her innate creativity and skills to envision unparalleled garments. The multi-hyphenate transforms bio-plastics into wearable works of art, spanning clothing and jewelry. Her collections offer casting curvy chrome as armor, alongside transparent candy-colored bio-plastic as structured bustiers. Elsewhere, architectural earrings, mirror deep sea coral, while linen is intertwined with green bio-plastic, evoking the image of a siren caught in seaweed. Zimbalist molds the biodegradable materials into three-dimensional shapes unlike anything else, showcasing the inventiveness of sustainable manufacturing.
